sarah burnside Sarah Burnside originally trained at Stourbridge College of Art, a traditional glass making are, and has carried her love of the medium through her work ever since. She has used it in many different forms, including textile works, relying heavily on glass beading , as well as glass mosaic work. Since settling in the East Neuk of Scotland, Sarah has returned to working with glass in its more traditional form – stained glass. While Sarah makes window and door panels for individual commissions, she designs many of her pieces to be free-standing, and therefore easily displayed in front of a window or lamp, and appreciated simply as a piece of vibrant art work. She also makes fire screens, room dividers, mirrors and stained glass jewellery.
