andy cross Andy was born in Lanarkshire in 1944 and graduated from Glasgow School of Art in Jewellery and silversmithing 1975. From 1976 until 1985 Andy's career was in teaching Art and Design in Glasgow and Lanarkshire schools, including continuing to untertake commission fro jewellery during this time. In 1985 Andy decided to concentrate more seriously on his painting and in particular his favourite subjects of still life and landscape. His inspiration for these pieces is drawn from the surrounding Lanarkshire countryside and frequent visits to France. Andys work has been exhibited in Scottish and French galleries. He has exhibited in many mixed exhibitions and his work is held in many Corporate and private collections.
