| mark haillay Mark studied ceramics at Loughborough Collage of Art and Design, graduating in 1990, when he moved to Edinburgh and joined the Ceramics Workshop – a group of four potters sharing studio space with a shop and open to the public. He has been making a living from making and selling ceramics ever since, selling in shops and galleries throughout the UK, with one or two outlets in the US and Europe, but about half of his work is sold in Scotland. Most of his work is hand built and slip cast and combinations of the two, but he also undertake commissions, in the past these have included, making tiles for a bathroom, large jardinières, fire places, garden fountains and a massive 8 foot long over mantle mirror. |
