yvonne hutchinson A new life, and a new home, in West Lothian has inspired the artist Yvonne Hutchinson to create a new portfolio of fresh work. Graduating from Sunderland University in 2003 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art degree Yvonne’s original work combines mixed media and collage, linking the depicted animals with the landscape, using symbolic forms and patterns reminiscent of graphic mind maps. Yvonne also makes paintings on boxed canvas of cows and sheep taking inspiration from animals in the rural environment. Landscape paintings are acrylic and oil on canvas with pigmented layers and textured surfaces and draw their inspiration from the Scottish Borders and Northern fells. Yvonne’s work can be found in Galleries throughout the UK, she is an active member of the Network Artists in Northumberland, Northern Print Studio, Dumfries and Galloway Fine Art Society and The Society of Scottish Artists.
