With a MA in Contemporary Fine Art and a strong professional background teaching in the field of Art Theory, Patti's more recent work has let go of some of those theory based influences and concentrated in letting visual curiosity and painterly concerns lead the way forward. It looks at ideas of the sublime in the face of a changing planet, where wildness and nature may be at odds with the human activity and production.

Most of my paintings, abstract and figurative are a combination of order and chaos: geometry, rhythm and interval, pattern, formal relationships on the one hand and expressive paint on the other, forming relationships on the way.
