moy mackay Moy was born in Edinburgh in 1966 and graduated from Glasgow School of Art in 1990. Her paintings are created by replacing paint as a medium with dyed merino sheep fleece and skillfully combining traditional felting techniques with embriodery. The nature of the medium requires a fine balance between spontaneity and control. This means the finished work always carries an element of surprise. Moy exhibits in many galleries and is frequently asked to hold solo exhibitions throughout Scotland. She lives and works in the Borders with her partner Johnny and two young sons.
