grant turnbull The name of the piece is "Nimrod" meaning a warrior in the eyes of God. The piece is to mimic the fluid motions and adventure undertaken by a warrior. There are no weapons as the warriors of God need no weapons as they use the power of Christ to defeat demons and other foes sent from the devil. The strong base is to resemble the warrior, while the large ribbons show off the fluid motions of the warriors' movement. As an architect student I was extremely excited in the opportunity in getting out of the studio and testing my artistic skills, especially in a metal workshop. The shear experience has enlightened my architectural design and I will certainly keep designing metal sculptures as a hobbie. I had fantastic support from both tutor and technician to assemble this piece, but next time its going to be four times the size.
