sue white-oakes
Sue White - Oakes trained in Industrial Design in the 1950’s at the Central School of Art in London, where she also studied sculpture and mural painting. Over the last twenty years she has has been working on a series of sculptures made almost entirely from copper, using a process akin to silversmithing.

She has deveolped this unique method to such a high degree that it enables her to tackle difficult subjects such as delicate insects, spiders and birds which would be impracticable in other mediums. A lifelong love of engineeering has left Sue White- Oakes with a keen appreciation of the perfectly adapted mechanical structures of her subjects and this insight combined with a superb craftsmanship enables her to produce unique works of art.
